Being home with the kids these days, there are lots more opportunities to see all the funny things they do. I love that I get to see everything and I never miss a memorable moment.
The other day, Charis was playing with a Build-a-Bear doll she had received from grandma for Christmas while Adeline was quietly observing. The Build-a-Bear came with a pair of rose-colored sunglasses that Charis loves putting on and walking around the house with...well, I left the room for just a brief moment and when I returned...this is what I saw... (which made me run and grab the camera)...
Charis playing "dress up" with her baby sister...
Look ma, I'm a rock star!
Then Charis decided to model the sunglasses herself...
Hugs and kisses...
These pictures of Adeline just make me giggle...

Some recent pictures of the girls...
Adeline, our "treasure"...
Does this mirror make my cheeks look too big? Lost in deep thought... Cute smile... Adeline is a smiley baby... Oh!
Some pictures of Adeline... Minutes after birth... Tiny little feet... Arriving home from the hospital... With Daddy... With Mommy... With big sister, Charis... Charis can't stop kissing her little sister...
We are proud to announce that Adeline is finally here!
Adeline Inara Kim, born at 6:18pm on Sunday, November 18 at St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA.
Weighing in at a hefty 8 lbs., 12 oz. and 20 1/2 inches, she is truly a bundle of joy...
We're all doing great. Mom is recovering well at home now and singing the praises of the amazing epidural for carrying her through a smooth and fast delivery.
Thank you for all your prayers. They were truly answered, each and every single one
I was organizing some files on my computer and came across some old video clips of Charis when she was less than a year old...Amy shot these videos one day when she was babysitting Charis...they were hilarious the first time we saw them and now, almost two and a half years later, I think they're still hilarious...
I've uploaded one to share with you...I think its the best one. Hope it brings a smile to your face!
Recently, I received a shipment in the mail that came in a big
cardboard box. Just as I was about to throw the box away, I thought
that it would be a good opportunity for Charis to have fun with it and
exercise her imagination...
Well, needless to say, its been a few days and she is finding more and
more things to do with the box. I think our next project will be to
paint the outside of the box and decorate it. When I told Jeff about
how much fun Charis was having with the box, we just chuckled to
ourselves that the best toys are the simplest toys and don't always
require spending lots of money. Charis's imagination keeps her occupied
all day long, and its just fun to watch her make things up and play
pretend...isn't it amazing what little ones can come up with if only
given the chance?
I wonder why, as we get older, we stop using our
imagination and seeing the endless possibilities in the simplest of
things...
Some photos...enjoy! Playing inside her "house"...
Waving from inside her "choo-choo train"...
Going on an adventure...
Casey's decided to join in on the fun (actually, he didn't really have a choice...)
Poor Casey...this is doggie torture at its worst...
Thank you to all the sisters who attended my baby shower yesterday. It was really a memorable day, with good food, thoughtful gifts, and creative scrapbook pages!
With Adeline's due date fast approaching, it was nice to take a day to celebrate and anticipate her arrival. Christina did a fantastic job of organizing the day, and having everyone scrapbook a page or two for Adeline's baby album was also very special. Now I have an album of Adeline's first year that has all her special moments ready to be recorded.
It strengthens my spirit and warms my heart to know that I have a community that genuinely cares for my family. Charis has already received so much love from all her aunties and uncles, and I know that Adeline will also be showered with affection. Thank you!
To be honest, it has been tough playing the waiting game and counting down until the end of this pregnancy, but days like yesterday encouraged me to hang in there for these last weeks and be patient as we anticipate Adeline's arrival.
With the sisters of GLMC...
One of the many gifts I received today... I will definitely be cashing this in soon!
A cake in honor of Addy...(one of the most DELICIOUS cakes I have ever tasted!)
Amy, my sister-in-law...
Scrapbooking...
Charis even made a page for Adeline's album...
Thanks to everyone who "showered" us with your presence!
